Forester
The Subaru Forester family combines Subaru’s symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system with a luxurious, thoroughly versatile vehicle design – with the choice of powerful 2.5-litre naturally aspirated or turbocharged Boxer Engines. Its superior engineering delivers the performance and surefootedness to let you explore every class of road.

Enjoy the thoughtful design and luxury as Forester handles everything from daily chores to adventure holidays with ease. With its elegant yet robust exterior, and a surprising amount of interior space, the Subaru Forester is perfectly designed for maneuvering in city streets or country spaces.

Versatility

All Forester models are versatile enough for you to really get out and enjoy your weekends. With ample space for all your gear and 200 mm ground clearance, Forester takes you off the beaten track. Add in water repellent cloth trim or leather trim on the Luxury models and you have the perfect excuse to get away.

Forester is recreational by nature, but it’s all about functionality and luxury on the inside, with a spacious five-seat cabin that offers the security of being surrounded by Subaru’s ultra-safe ring-shaped reinforcements.
Forester
Cabin ergonomics were a top consideration for Forester’s designers, with all controls in easy reach, great all-round vision for added safety and multiple storage spaces, including a multi-functional centre console, in which the arm-rest flips back to become a small tray for rear seat passengers – ingenious design from an innovative brand.

Performance

The Forester range comes in two engine options, the naturally aspirated 2.5-litre Single Over Head Camshaft Boxer Engine or the performance driven awarding winning* 2.5-litre Turbocharged Double Over Head Camshaft Boxer Engine. The Forester in the two engine options will cater to your driving style and surprise you with a performance and driving edge normally found in the sedan market.

Subaru Constant All-Wheel Drive

Every Subaru sold in Australia has constant symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD). What’s the benefit? In simple terms, AWD equates to better traction – a major element in the superb handling of Subarus. That’s why Subaru has a fine reputation for safety, road holding, grip – and a fun driving experience. Whether on tarmac or unsealed roads AWD offers optimum traction from all four wheels. It’s a product of award-winning engineering experience developed over 30 years, including extensive testing in Australian conditions – so the Subarus you drive are set-up to suit our unique roads.

Subaru Symmetrical Drivetrains
Subaru’s horizontally opposed Boxer Engine, transmission, propeller shaft and rear differential (the components that transfer drive from the engine to the wheels) are all simply arranged in a perfectly symmetrical straight line. The low centre of gravity and ideal front/back and lateral weight distribution directly contribute to driving stability and precise handling. The All-Wheel Drive transfer mechanism is mounted inside the transmission unit, rather than in a separate transfer case. This produces optimum weight distribution and contributes to the driver’s all-round sense of good balance. The system uses fewer parts and produces less movement than other engine and drive combinations – increasing fuel efficiency, durability and reducing noise.

Drive Subaru
You encounter a sudden downpour while driving at high speed, or you’re on a muddy, unsealed road… or a trip to the snow fills you with fear. No cause for concern in a Subaru, because you soon come to grips with the full benefit of Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive when road conditions are at their most challenging.

Safety

All Forester models have a Five Star Occupant Safety Rating from the independent, highly acclaimed Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP). This puts Forester at the head of its class for occupant safety. Right from the initial design concept, Subaru’s engineers set out to make Forester one of the safest vehicles in its class. Mission accomplished.
