About the business and the role

The Bill Buckle Auto Group is the premier motor dealership group on the Northern beaches of Sydney and operates Toyota, Subaru, Volkswagen, and Jaguar Land Rover franchises. With a rich history, established in 1926 our group has served the area for over 80 years and is now a part of the publicly listed AP Eagers Group.

We are currently seeking a 1st year apprentice to join our busy service department to assist in servicing all makes and models.

Do you:

  • Have a keen interest in the motor industry?
  • Have your school certificate?
  • Have a current drivers licence?

If so, you will learn to service and repair the mechanical parts of motor vehicles such as engines, transmissions, and suspension systems.

You will also gain experience in discussing problems with drivers/users and other technicians to detect faults and carry out diagnostic procedures.

Being an apprentice will also require you to attend TAFE on a regular basis. In return after 3 years you will become a qualified Automotive Technician.

We are currently looking for an experienced Parts Interpreter to join our Parts Team who will enjoy working in and with our group (a dynamic and growth-oriented dealership), and who has a genuine desire to maximise their skills and contribute to the success of the business.

If you are motivated with a proven track record in your chosen industry then come and join our busy, award winning multi-franchise dealership.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:

  • Previous parts experience in one of any of our four franchises (Toyota / Landrover / Jaguar / Subaru / VW) would be highly desirable
  • Experience with Pentara Era would be advantageous
  • Customer service focus
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to work productively in an autonomous environment
  • Technical parts knowledge in the automotive field
  • Exceptional telephone manner

If you are an excellent communicator, have experience in parts interpreting - front counter, back counter and trade, with the ability to deal with technical enquiries, who is customer focused and preferably has sound knowledge of parts please forward your cover letter and resume to:

Automotive Technicians Large Workshop

Bill Buckle is an award winning motor dealership group on the Northern beaches of Sydney, who operate Toyota, Subaru and VW franchises. With a rich history, established in 1926, our group has served the area for over 60 years and is now a part of the publicly listed AP Eagers Group.

We are currently seeking qualified and experienced and qualified technicians to join our busy service department.

The right candidates will be mature minded and competent mechanics, with good knowledge in modern automotive systems and a strong customer service focus. You will have excellent communication and problem solving skills and be able to work unsupervised within a team environment.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repair work and/or maintenance as per the repair order to Dealership requirements.
  • Plan each job for maximum efficiency. Order parts (where necessary) from the Parts Department.
  • Assist team members and work effectively with other technicians and apprentices.
  • Maintain a sound knowledge of all Dealership products and services.
  • Follow correct procedures when carrying out warranty work and ensure all warranty parts are tagged with the correct information. 6. Correctly complete all works as per Standard Repair Times Guide.
  • Legibly complete all paperwork correctly with all details regarding works carried out and/or parts ordered.
  • Keep up to date with Volkswagen mandatory factory training.
  • Maintain familiarity with and follow Dealership procedures when obtaining or ordering parts.
  • Keep a complete and up-to-date tool kit.
